DNC Official Brands Harris’ Campaign As ‘$1 Billion Disaster’ In Tirade

Democratic National Committee finance committee member Lindy Li dubbed Vice President Kamala Harris‘ campaign a “$1 billion disaster” during a tirade on FOX & Friends Weekend Saturday (November 9) morning.

Li called for accountability following Harris’ loss to former President and current President-elect Donald Trump in the 2024 election on Tuesday (November 5), specifically referring to President Joe Biden‘s decision to end his campaign late as a “f**k you” to Democrats, claiming she and others were misled about Harris’ chances of winning.

“The truth is this is just an end epic disaster, this is a $1 billion disaster,” Li said. “They’re $20 million or $18 million in debt. It’s incredible, and I raised millions of that. I have friends I have to be accountable to and explain what happened because I told them it was a margin-of-error race.”

Filings indicated that Harris’ campaign raked in at least $1 billion, which grew to more than $1.6 billion when combined with other aligned groups and there’s still another filing for the month of October that has yet to be released. The campaign was reportedly $20 million in debt after November 5, according to Politico.

Trump won 312 electoral college votes, winning all seven of the crucial battleground states long believed to have decided the election, reclaiming North Carolina and winning Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, all of which he lost in the 2020 election. The former president is also the first Republican to win the popular vote since former President George W. Bush‘s victory in the 2004 election.
