Disneyland Attendance Reaches 900 Million Milestone

Disneyland in Anaheim has reached a significant milestone with its all-time attendance hitting 900 million visitors.

This achievement comes as the park celebrates its 70th anniversary. According to the new documentary “Disneyland Handcrafted” by filmmaker Leslie Iwerks, the park’s attendance sign, last updated in 2013 to reflect 650 million visitors, is now outdated by 250 million.

The documentary, set to debut on January 22 on YouTube and Disney+, chronicles the creation of Disneyland and highlights this latest milestone. The premiere of “Disneyland Handcrafted” took place on January 8 at the Walt Disney Studios Lot in Burbank.

Disneyland’s attendance increased by 0.5% in 2024, reaching 17.3 million visitors, according to estimates by the Themed Entertainment Association. If the park maintains its current rate, it is projected to reach the 1 billion visitor mark by late 2031.

Historically, Disneyland has celebrated major attendance milestones, such as reaching 100 million visitors in 1971 and 500 million in 2004. However, the park no longer publicly announces attendance figures, relying instead on estimates from industry publications and organizations.
