LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert G. Luna will be joined Thursday at a press conference in downtown Los Angeles by high-ranking LASD official to discuss the arrests of a group of suspects who were taken into custody 2,600 miles away in Hawaii following a gunfire attack on an LASD deputy sheriff.
Luna and Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman will discuss the targeted act of violence against an unnamed deputy sheriff, whose marked patrol vehicle was struck by gunfire while he was on patrol on Feb. 22, 2026, according to a LASD release.
The press conference will be held Thursday, March 5, at 9 a.m at the Hall of Justice, First Floor media conference room, 211 W. Temple St., Los Angeles.
Details of the investigation and the arrest of the suspects will be shared.
Photographs related to the incident will be shown during the press conference.
