Cinespia Ends Season with Spooky October Screenings

LOS ANGELES — Cinespia is ending its 2025 outdoor movie season with a month-long celebration of Halloween favorites at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, complete with cult classics, creepy comedies, and slasher staples.

Presented by Amazon, MGM Studios and Prime Video, the October lineup kicks off Saturday, Oct. 4, with a 50th Anniversary screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show — featuring a live shadow cast, DJ sets, giveaways, and a time warp dance party. Other October highlights include the witchy teen hit The Craft (Oct. 11), stop-motion favorite ParaNorman (Oct. 18), and Wes Craven’s horror classic A Nightmare on Elm Street (Oct. 25).

“Each October, we love transforming Hollywood Forever Cemetery into a celebration of everything spooky, nostalgic, and cinematic. It’s one of our favorite times of the year.” said John Wyatt, Founder of Cinespia. “There’s nothing like watching horror movies in a real cemetery, beneath the moonlight, surrounded by fellow fans.”

Cinespia, which began with a modest screening of Strangers on a Train, has become a Los Angeles institution, drawing up to 4,000 moviegoers per night. Guests bring blankets, picnic spreads, and drinks to enjoy the films on the Fairbanks Lawn, along with pre- and post-show music from top DJs.

Tickets and more information are available at www.cinespia.org.
