Grab your bikes, skates, or walking shoes because CicLAvia is back! The popular open-streets festival is taking over parts of Culver City and Venice today, transforming nearly seven miles of roadways into a car-free playground for Angelenos.
The 61st edition, dubbed “Culver City Meets Venice”, runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Venice and Washington boulevards, stretching from just west of La Cienega Boulevard to the Venice Beach Boardwalk.
Along the route, you’ll find five activity hubs, including downtown Culver City, Mar Vista, and the beach, each offering free water stations, bike repair, pedicab rides, and plenty of spots to park your wheels. It’s not just about exercise, it’s about exploring neighborhoods, grabbing a bite, and seeing Los Angeles in a whole new way.
Since 2010, CicLAvia has encouraged people to ditch their cars and discover the city on foot, by bike, or on skates. Just remember, no cars, no scooters, and no motorized bikes are allowed.
And if you miss today’s event, don’t worry. The next CicLAvia rolls into South Central and Watts on September 14.
