A video capturing a chaotic scene of two cars chasing and colliding in a West Covina parking lot has gone viral. The incident, which occurred last Friday, involved two sedans speeding around the lot near Francisquito Avenue and Sunset Avenue, crashing into each other multiple times before fleeing the scene.
According to witnesses, the altercation began on nearby streets and escalated into the parking lot of a shopping center. The video shows the cars circling the lot, colliding once and causing debris and clothing to fly from one car’s trunk. They briefly separated, driving down different aisles, before crashing again in front of a clothing store.
Employees at Louie’s Liquor, located within the shopping center, had a clear view of the incident. Drea Cano, an employee, recorded the event on her phone, capturing the moment the cars crashed in front of DD’s Discounts. “I’m just glad that nobody got hurt because the whole parking lot was full, people were everywhere,” said Arlene Cano, another employee who witnessed the scene.
The West Covina Police Department responded to the incident, but the vehicles had already left by the time officers arrived. Fortunately, no other vehicles were damaged, and there were no reported injuries.
