‘Butt-Sniffer’ Sentenced to 99 Days for Parole Violation

Calese Crowder, a registered sex offender known for inappropriate behavior, was sentenced to 99 days in jail for violating his parole.

Crowder, 39, was arrested after a parole and sex-registrant compliance check in Glendale. Previously, he was arrested twice for lewd conduct in Burbank, including incidents at a Nordstrom Rack and a Walgreens store.

Crowder’s recent arrest occurred on November 24, when he failed to meet an annual sex-offender registration requirement for over two months, according to NBC Los Angeles. The Glendale Police Department arrested him at his residence, emphasizing their commitment to public safety through compliance checks.

Crowder’s history of similar offenses dates back to 2021. In July, he was detained at a Nordstrom Rack in Burbank after being observed following a female customer and engaging in lewd behavior by sniffing her buttocks. A similar incident occurred in August at a Walgreens, leading to another arrest.

Despite these arrests, a misdemeanor charge for failing to update his registration was dismissed, according to ABC7. Crowder’s actions have drawn significant attention, including a viral TikTok video in 2023, where a woman accused him of stalking and inappropriate behavior at a Barnes and Noble.
