Bass Set To Speak in Washington, Oklahoma City During 2-Day Trip

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is set to arrive in Washington Thursday for a two-day trip that will also take her to Oklahoma City.

Bass is scheduled to speak at the Black Economic Alliance Local and State Solutions Forum in Washington on Thursday afternoon.

Bass is set to speak on her efforts at reducing homelessness at the U.S. Conference of Mayors Fall Leadership Meeting in Oklahoma City Friday. Bass is the conference’s chair on homelessness.

On Friday afternoon, Bass is scheduled to join Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt and Los Angeles’ Executive Director of the Office of Major Events Paul Krekorian, for a press event at a 2028 Olympic venue where the two mayors will sign a memorandum of understanding focused on inclusion, innovation, and coordination for the 2028 Olympics.

The Olympic softball, slalom  and canoeing competitions will be held in Oklahoma City to save Los Angeles from having to build venues for those sports.

Holt is the president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

Bass is scheduled to return to Los Angeles Friday night.
