Baby Snack Recalled Due To ‘Potential Presence Of Foreign Material’

Gerber issued a voluntary recall for a popular Arrowroot Biscuits snack due to the “potential presence of foreign material,” the company announced in a press release shared on Monday (January 26).

The company said the its 5.5oz Arrowroot Biscuits produced between July 2025 and September 2025 had a “presence of soft plastic and/or paper pieces that should not be consumed,” which came from an arrowroot flour supplier that it is no longer working with.

“Gerber Products Company is initiating a voluntary recall of limited batches of Gerber® Arrowroot Biscuits out of an abundance of caution due to the potential presence of soft plastic and/or paper pieces that should not be consumed. The material comes from an arrowroot flour supplier who initiated a recall.  We are no longer working with the flour supplier,” the company said. “This recall is isolated to limited batches of Gerber® Arrowroot Biscuits 5.5oz products produced between July 2025 and September 2025. In the U.S., this recall is nationwide.”

Geber confirmed that no other products were impacted by the recall. No illnesses were reported when the news release was shared and the company said it was “acting out of an abundance of caution.”

Consumers who purchased the recalled product are warned not to feed it to their child and return it to the store where it was purchased to receive a refund.
