Baby Emmanuel May Have Been Killed 9 Days Before Alleged Kidnapping

The parents of seven-month-old Emmanuel Haro have been charged with murder after authorities uncovered inconsistencies in their story about the child’s disappearance. Rebecca Haro, 41, and Jake Haro, 32, reported that their son was kidnapped from a Yucaipa Big 5 Sporting Goods parking lot on August 14. Rebecca claimed she was knocked unconscious while changing Emmanuel’s diaper, but investigators found discrepancies in her account.

Court documents reveal that Emmanuel may have been killed between August 5 and August 14, with August 5 being the last confirmed day he was seen alive. The Haros were charged with murder and making a false police report in Riverside County Superior Court. They are being held on $1 million bail each and have postponed their arraignment to September 4.

Authorities are now focused on finding Emmanuel’s remains, having conducted searches in various locations, including an isolated field in Moreno Valley. Despite the charges, Rebecca Haro maintains her innocence, stating in a jailhouse interview that she will not give up on her baby.

Jake Haro, who has a previous conviction for child abuse, has not commented on the case directly but has used legal representation to communicate. The case has drawn significant public attention, with many demanding answers from the couple.

As the investigation continues, the Haros’ next court appearance is scheduled for September 4, where they are expected to enter pleas.
