An Arizona woman was brutally beaten unconscious during a sold-out Rüfüs Du Sol concert at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Saturday. The incident, captured on video, has gone viral, sparking outrage and raising concerns about safety at the event.
The altercation began when a drink was accidentally spilled on a man, who became agitated and stormed off. According to the woman, she and her fiancé apologized, but the man returned 30 minutes later, yelling and threatening violence. He then attacked the woman, knocking her unconscious and causing significant injuries. The victim later shared her experience on social media, seeking help to identify the attacker.
The Pasadena Police Department has filed a report and is actively investigating the incident, with multiple leads on the suspect’s identity. They hope to make an arrest soon.
Rüfüs Du Sol expressed their heartbreak over the incident, stating, “Delivering moments for our fans to gather and celebrate safely is what we live for. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable anywhere.” They encouraged anyone with information to contact the police.
Concertgoers criticized the event’s organization, citing concerns over crowd control and safety. Some attendees compared the situation to the tragic 2021 Astroworld crowd crush, with reports of overcrowding and inadequate security measures.
