The 16-day event, starting June 25, marks the 250th birthday of the United States and promises a “once-in-a-generation celebration.”
Among the artists scheduled to perform are country music star Martina McBride, rappers Flo Rida and Vanilla Ice, and the iconic ‘Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)’ singers C+C Music Factory. Rocker Bret Michaels will also take the stage, along with the Commodores, rapper Young MC, pop duo Milli Vanilli, and R&B group Morris Day and the Time. Additional artists are expected to be announced soon.
Freedom 250 CEO Keith Krach expressed excitement about the event, stating, “The performers, innovators, military heroes, and everyday Americans showcased here represent the very best of who we are, and the boundless opportunity ahead.” He emphasized that the Great American State Fair will unite people from all 56 states and territories to celebrate the nation’s traditions, innovation, music, military heritage, freedom, and entrepreneurial spirit.
The event is part of the broader America 250 celebrations, aiming to bring Americans together in the nation’s capital for a moment of unity and reflection on the country’s history and future.
