Amber Alert Canceled: Missing Brothers Found Safe

An Amber Alert issued for two young brothers in Los Angeles was canceled Sunday after they were found safe. The brothers, aged 2 and 10, were foster children reported missing from their home in the Westlake District. Authorities believe their biological mother, Jackeline Hernandez-Torres, took them from their foster home.

The Los Angeles Police Department announced that the children were located in Las Vegas and are in good health. They are set to be reunited with their foster parents soon. Hernandez-Torres was taken into custody in Las Vegas.

The Amber Alert was initially issued by the California Highway Patrol after the children were reported missing early Thursday morning. They were last seen in the area of West 52nd Street and Halldale Avenue in South Los Angeles. A black Chrysler PT Cruiser with Indiana license plates was sought in connection with the search.
