Alice Bell, the ex-wife of longtime “Today” show meterologist Al Roker, has died, per the New York Post. She was 77.
On Monday (February 10), Courtney Roker Laga, Bell and Roker’s daughter, took to Instagram to announce the news of her mother’s death.
“She was my mother, my heart, and the most loving grandmother to Sky,” Laga wrote. “I was with her for her last breath, and I will carry her love with me always.”
Laga shared several childhood photos with her mom as well as more recent photos of Bell with her daughter, Sky. In the recent photos, Bell appeared to be wearing a nasal cannula, which provides oxygen.
Bell’s cause of death remains unclear.
Roker, who was married to Bell from 1984 to 1994, hasn’t spoken out about his ex-wive’s passing. The morning show staple didn’t appear on Tuesday’s (February 11) episode of “Today.” He was replaced by NBC meteorologist Dylan Dreyer.
It’s unclear if Roker’s absence was related to his ex-wife’s death.
