Two teenagers have been arrested in connection to the brutal beating of a man in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on February 22 at the intersection of McCarthy Vista/Carrillo Drive and San Vicente Boulevard. A video capturing the attack shows a group of teenagers punching and kicking the man before fleeing the scene on bicycles.
The victim, identified as Maurice Benaim, reportedly confronted the group after they hit and kicked his car, leading to the violent altercation. Benaim sustained minor injuries and declined hospital treatment, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). The two teenagers arrested have been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, though their identities have not been released.
