Southland Gas Prices Inching Up Again

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose for the second consecutive day Sunday, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.798.

Prior to Saturday’s increase of two-tenths of a cent, the average price hadn’t posted an increase since April 26. It is 1.6 cents less than one week ago, 31.4 cents less than one month ago and 11.8 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The average price has dropped $1.696 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price inched up one-tenth of a cent to $4.698. It is nine-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, but 32.2 cents less than one month ago and 14.6 cents lower than one year ago. The Orange County average price has dropped $1.761 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price dropped four-tenths of a cent to $3.447. It is the same as one week ago, 16.8 cents less than one month ago and 13.7 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.569 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
