The homes of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce were reportedly both burglarized hours apart last month, TMZ Sports reported on Tuesday (November 12).
A burglary at Mahomes’ Belton, Missouri, estate was reported “at around midnight on October 6,” according to Cass County Sheriff’s Office documents obtained by the website. Kelce’s Leawood, Kansas, mansion was reportedly broken into hours later on October 7, prior to the Chiefs’ Monday Night Football win against the New Orleans Saints.
It’s unclear whether anything was taken from Mahomes or Kelce’s homes. The investigation into the burglary at Mahomes’ estate is ongoing.
The incident at Kelce’s home was reported on October 8, according to a police activity log, however, no additional details were made available. The two incidents are suspected to be connected to a larger crime spree in the area, sources with knowledge of the situation told TMZ Sports.
Mahomes purchased his Benton estate, which was recently completed to include a practice football field and golf hole, in 2020. Kelce moved into his reported $6 million Leawood mansion last year amid a sudden spike in attention he received during the early months of his romance with pop superstar Taylor Swift.
The Chiefs are currently the last remaining undefeated team in the NFL with a perfect 9-0 record entering their Week 11 road game against the Buffalo Bills.
