People across the country are reporting issues with their cell phone service on Monday (September 30). According to the Daily Mail, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, customers were unable to send or receive calls and had issues with their 5G home internet connections.
Over 100,000 Verizon customers reported issues on Down Detector. While fewer AT&T and T-Mobile customers reported issues, they all started occurring around the same time.
Down Detector’s heat maps show that the issues are occurring in Kansas, Texas, New York, and New Jersey. There are also continued outages along the North and South Carolina border due to the devastating damage from Helene.
Just before 12 p.m. ET, Verizon acknowledged the problem on X.
“Hello PJ! We are diligently working on getting your service back up and running in a timely manner. Thanks so much for your patience during this process. We would be happy to check on any other services or promotions that may be available to you,” Verizon Support wrote on X in reply to a customer experiencing issues.
