LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The run of three decreases in four days to the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County totaling 1.6 cents ended Wednesday with an increase of 1.4 cents to $5.419.
The average price is 3.6 cents more than one week ago, 33.7 cents less than one month ago and 90.6 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has increased 72.5 cents since the start of the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, which sent oil prices higher and drastically accelerated increases at the gas pump.
The Orange County average price rose 2.4 cents to $5.323, one day after increasing one-tenth of a cent. It is 6.3 cents more than one week ago, 30.2 cents less than one month ago and 87.1 cents lower than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has increased 68.7 cents since the attack on Iran.
The four-day streak of decreases to the national average price totaling 2.5 cents ended with an increase of 3.1 cents to $3.89, 9.4 cents more than one week ago, 17.5 cents less than one month ago and 73.9 cents higher than one year ago. It has increased 90.8 cents since the attack on Iran.
