Masters of the Universe and Scary Movie 2026 Arrive in Theaters

The summer movie season is leaning hard into familiar franchises, with three very different films hoping nostalgia will translate into box office success.

Leading the pack is Masters of the Universe, which brings He-Man back to theaters for the first time in decades. Starring Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam and He-Man, the film embraces the over-the-top fantasy and campy humor that made the toy-inspired franchise a pop culture phenomenon. Early reviews suggest director Travis Knight strikes a balance between action, comedy and self-awareness, giving longtime fans plenty to enjoy while welcoming a new generation to Eternia.

Also arriving in theaters is Scary Movie 2026, the latest installment in the parody franchise that skewers horror films and pop culture trends. The reboot aims to introduce the franchise to younger audiences while delivering the outrageous jokes and celebrity cameos longtime fans expect.

Meanwhile, internet sensation The Amazing Digital Circus is making the leap from YouTube to movie theaters. Based on the wildly popular animated web series, the film expands the story of Pomni and the bizarre digital world that has attracted hundreds of millions of views online.

Whether you’re powered by Grayskull, craving parody comedy, or ready to enter the digital circus, Hollywood is betting that familiar names still have plenty of life left on the big screen.
