A man is being sought by authorities after he allegedly exposed himself and inappropriately touched a woman inside a Whole Foods Market in Valencia, California, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) reports.
The incident happened March 23 while the victim was shopping at the store. Deputies from the LASD responded to the market following a report of sexual assault, but the suspect had already left the area by the time they arrived.
Store security cameras, however, captured the entire incident on video. According to KTLA reporter Rachel Menitoff, the footage shows the suspect rubbing his exposed genitals on the woman’s ear while holding a cellphone.
Investigators are now hoping the public can help identify the man seen in the surveillance video. The suspect is described as a man in his mid-30s who was wearing a denim shirt and jeans at the time of the incident.
The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station is leading the investigation. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact investigators at (661) 260-4000.
