‘Project Hail Mary’ Builds Buzz as ‘The Bachelorette’ Faces the Final Cut

Project Hail Mary is already generating major buzz across the industry. With its high-stakes, space-driven storyline and built-in fan base, the project is being closely watched as a potential box office and streaming powerhouse, especially as studios look for proven, large-scale hits to draw audiences back.

Based on the novel by Andy Weir, the film follows Ryan Gosling as a middle school science teacher who wakes up alone in space, tasked with saving a dying sun.

Unlike typical sci-fi blockbusters, this story leans into optimism—focusing on problem-solving, curiosity, and collaboration over action and spectacle. Along the way, Gosling’s character forms an unlikely bond with an alien scientist named “Rocky,” turning the film into a mix of high-stakes survival and unexpected buddy comedy.

At its core, Project Hail Mary isn’t just about saving Earth—it’s about the power of teamwork, resilience, and the idea that even in the darkest moments, we’re better when we’re not alone.

The Bachelorette isn’t just losing its final rose—it’s caught in a real-life scandal.

ABC pulled the upcoming season following a domestic abuse investigation involving its lead, Taylor Frankie Paul, and her ex, Dakota Mortensen. The decision came after a video from a 2023 incident surfaced, appearing to show Paul physically attacking Mortensen.

In a statement, Paul’s team says she’s been a victim of ongoing abuse and is now prioritizing the safety of her family and children while exploring her legal options.

The controversy forced production to halt and ultimately led the network to scrap the season altogether—highlighting how off-screen issues can quickly derail even one of TV’s biggest franchises.
