The alleged mistress of former Michigan Wolverines head football coach Sherrone Moore has reportedly left her position within the University of Michigan’s athletic department.
Paige Shiver, who was previously identified in multiple reports as the woman who had an affair with Moore that led to his firing in December, is no longer employed at the University of Michigan after her contract recently expired, TMZ Sports reported on Wednesday (March 4), citing a department spokesperson. Shiver, 32, had worked as the executive assistant to Moore, 40, a married father of three, prior to his December firing and subsequent arrest hours later for an incident in which he allegedly broke into her apartment, grabbed butter knives and kitchen scissors and threatened to harm himself.
Shiver’s salary was reported to have increased from $58,025 in 2024 to $90,000 in 2025 prior to news of the affair being made public. The former assistant allegedly shared evidence of her two-year affair with Moore, which resulted in the University of Michigan launching an investigation into the inappropriate relationship and firing him on December 10 after “credible evidence” was found to support the claim.
Moore went 16-8 during his tenure as Michigan’s head coach, which included a non-conference win against Bowling Green, as well as three wins against Penn State, Maryland and Ohio State credited to former head coach Jim Harbaugh during the 2023 national championship season when Moore served as acting head coach in Harbaugh’s absence due to a suspension. The former guard replaced Harbaugh when the latter accepted the head coaching position with the NFL’s Los Angeles Chargers in 2024 and went 8-5 (5-4 Big Ten) during his first season and 7-3 (6-2 Big Ten) in 2025.
