Average L.A. County Gas Price Rises To Highest Amount Since Nov. 29

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Tuesday to its highest amount since Nov. 29, increasing 2.4 cents to $4.724.

The average price has risen 12 of the past 13 days, increasing 10.5 cents, including six-tenths of a cent Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose 10 consecutive days, was unchanged on Sunday and resumed rising on Monday.

The average price is 5.4 cents more than one week ago and 28.4 cents higher than one month ago, but 2.8 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.77 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price rose for the 34th consecutive day, increasing 2.1 cents to $4.671, its highest amount since Nov. 27. It has risen 42.8 cents over the past 34 days, including four-tenths of a cent on Monday.

The Orange County average price is 6.5 cents more than one week ago and 31.9 cents higher than one month ago, but 4.4 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.788 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose 11.2 cents to $3.109, topping $3 for the first time Dec. 1. It is 15.8 cents more than one week ago and 22.6 cents higher than one month ago, but 1.2 cents less than one year ago.

The national average price has dropped $1.907 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
