Big Bear’s most famous residents are growing their family again.
Jackie and Shadow, the beloved bald eagle pair whose nest is watched by viewers around the world, welcomed their first egg of the 2026 season on Friday, according to Friends of Big Bear Valley.
The nonprofit, which operates the popular live nest cameras, says Jackie showed signs of labor just after 4:20 p.m. Within minutes, she laid the egg, and Shadow arrived shortly after to check in on the season’s first addition.
