Police Search For Movie Star Look-Alike Who Stole $1,700 Worth Of Caviar

A man resembling Hollywood actor Jason Statham is wanted for stealing $1,700 worth of caviar from a Whole Foods store in Irvine, California. The Irvine Police Department shared a photo of the suspect, who has been dubbed a “less attractive version” of Statham, in their weekly #WantedWednesday post on Facebook. The man allegedly disguised his theft by posing as a typical shopper, selecting random items before slipping the expensive fish eggs into a Whole Foods paper bag he brought with him.

The suspect was caught on security footage casually strolling through the store’s aisles before making a beeline for the exit with the caviar. Each tin of caviar is priced between $99 and $170, and the thief allegedly took dozens of cans. The theft was discovered when an employee noticed the empty caviar section and reviewed the security footage.

The incident has captured public attention, with many comments on the police’s post focusing on the unusual nature of the heist and the suspect’s resemblance to the British actor. The police are optimistic that the public will help identify the suspect and bring him to justice.
