Federal authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Ontario that occurred early Thursday morning. The incident took place around 6:30 a.m. on the 2800 block of South Vineyard Avenue after Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officers requested emergency assistance, according to the Ontario Police Department. Ontario police officers were not part of the initial shooting but responded to assist with traffic control and scene security as federal investigators took charge of the situation.
