Irvine police are actively searching for a suspect they have nicknamed “Postal Malone” due to his resemblance to the rapper Post Malone. The suspect is accused of stealing multiple packages from a mailroom in an apartment community on Spectrum Center Drive on Sunday. According to Kyle Oldoerp, a spokesman for the Irvine Police Department, the suspect has tattoos on the right side of his face and his right hand.
The Irvine police department humorously noted on social media that the suspect “seems to love everything ‘post,’ including taking postal packages that don’t belong to him.” They have not yet determined the value of the stolen items.
The police are urging anyone with information to contact detectives at mward@cityofirvine.org. Since the social media post, the department has received several tips regarding the suspect’s identity and hopes to make contact soon.
