Powerball Jackpot Reaches $815 Million For Tonight’s Draw

The Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $815 million, making it the seventh-largest prize in the game’s history. The drawing, set for Wednesday night, follows 37 consecutive drawings without a grand prize winner. The last jackpot was claimed on May 31 in California, when a ticket won $207 million.

The current jackpot offers a cash value of $367.9 million, should a winner choose the lump sum payout. Tickets for the drawing can be purchased until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, with the drawing scheduled for 7:59 p.m. The winning numbers from the last drawing were 16, 19, 34, 37, 64, and the red Powerball 22, with a Power Play multiplier of 3.

While no one claimed the jackpot in the last drawing, there were still significant winners. According to Powerball.com, two tickets in Georgia and Texas matched all five white balls, winning $1 million each. Additionally, a ticket in Maryland won $500,000 in the Double Play drawing, a $1 add-on feature.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot remain at 1 in 292.2 million, but the excitement continues to grow. As ABC News reported, Matt Strawn, Powerball product group chair, stated, “The excitement of playing for a colossal Powerball jackpot is back!”

Powerball tickets are available in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Since its inception in 1992, the Powerball game has contributed over $36 billion to various good causes supported by U.S. lotteries.
