ICE Agents Raid Irvine Home Over LA Poster Investigation

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents conducted a raid on an Irvine home on Thursday as part of an investigation into posters placed around Los Angeles. The posters reportedly contained personal information about ICE agents. The operation, which took place in the Turtle Rock neighborhood, involved the U.S. Secret Service and was not related to immigration enforcement.

Annie Yang and YuZong Chang, the homeowners, were startled by the early morning raid. “I feel like I was in a movie set or something. It was so unreal,” Yang said. The agents were searching for their son, Michael Chang, who recently moved to New York. The investigation traced an IP address back to their home, linking it to a doxxing case from February, where unauthorized personal information was shared online.

According to ABC7, the agents seized the family’s router and hard drive as part of their investigation. Michael Chang, who was previously involved in pro-Palestinian protests at UC Irvine, is now seeking legal advice regarding the accusations.

The investigation is ongoing, and ICE has not provided further details. The raid highlights the serious nature of doxxing, which involves sharing personal information without consent, potentially endangering individuals.
