6.4 Magnitude Earthquake Reported

The Nevada earthquake was reported one day after a 7.1-magnitude earthquake was reported in Tonga on Sunday (March 30), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered at a depth of 10 kilometers (about 6.2 miles).

The Tonga earthquake was reported two days after a deadly 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Southeast Asia on Friday (March 28). More than 2,700 people were killed in relation to the earthquake, which was centered in Myanmar (Burma), officials announced on Tuesday via NBC News.
