5th Graders Planned To Kill Boy In Bathroom, Make It Look Like Suicide

Four fifth-grade girls from Legacy Traditional School in Surprise, Arizona, allegedly plotted to murder a classmate and stage his death as a suicide, according to a police report. The girls, aged 10 and 11, planned to lure the boy into a bathroom during recess, stab him, and leave a forged suicide note. The alleged plot, which was set to occur on October 1, 2024, was reportedly motivated by cheating allegations following a breakup.

Each girl had a specific role in the plan: one was to bring a knife, another to act as a lookout, a third to commit the stabbing, and the fourth to forge the suicide note. They even planned to wear gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints. However, classmates overheard the scheme and alerted school officials, leading to a search of the girls’ backpacks and their subsequent questioning with their parents present.

According to KKTV, three of the girls expressed remorse, while the fourth reportedly laughed and made excuses for their actions. All four were arrested on charges of threatening and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. They have been released into their parents’ custody and suspended from school, pending expulsion. School officials have not commented on the incident.
