LOS ANGELES (CNS) – All lanes of the southbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway near the Stadium Way exit in downtown Los Angeles were closed Thursday after a crash involving a semi-truck spilled over french fries.
Just before 4 a.m. Thursday, the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert stating the traffic was being diverted at the 5 Freeway collector road to the southbound Glendale (2) Freeway.
Videos show boxes of frozen french fries scattered across the scene and the white truck with windows smashed.
Clean-up efforts are expected to leave the route closed till after 9 a.m., according to CHP.
