5.2 Magnitude Earthquake Reported

A 5.2-magnitude earthquake was reported in Romania on Monday (September 23), according to the United States Geological Survey.

The earthquake was centered in Cașoca at a depth of 133.5 kilometers (about 83 miles) on September 16. The USGS said it received 353 reports of people having felt the earthquake at the time of publication Monday morning.

A 5.1-magnitude earthquake was also reported in Texas on September 16, according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Ackerly at a depth of 8.2 kilometers (about 5.1 miles).

The latest Texas earthquake was reported one day after a 3.4-magnitude earthquake was reported in Kansas last Thursday (September 19), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Danville at a depth of 4.9 kilometers (about three miles).
